There was a lot of buzz ongoing regarding the 25th anniversary of WWE Raw. One of the focal points heading into this show was The Undertaker finally returning to WWE TV programming ever since his Wrestlemania 33 match where he teased his retirement.
We are almost sure to learn the future of his career from the Manhattan Center in New York.
However, that did not turn out to be the case since the Phenome arrived in the ring talking about his illustrious career where he achieved a lot over the past three decades.
Mentioning some of his favourite opponents in the company, he declared that it’s time that they should truly rest in peace. This was another hint to continue the speculations of a retirement.
Many of the fans now are wondering what the Deadman might not be seen in any match at the grandest stage of the year.
If the earlier reports were to be believed then we were supposed to see a confrontation between John Cena and The Undertaker which would have set up the much-anticipated match for the wrestling fans.
Now that the 25th anniversary has come and gone, some are wondering whether the planning for the same was nixed.
However, that is not the case, according to multiple reports. Sportskeeda.com reported that the mentioned dream match is still very much on WWE’s cards, for now.
According to the source, it is just a matter of time before these two bumps into each other setting up the must-happen match.
It should take place now that the Road to Wrestlemania has kick-started following Royal Rumble.
Check out the quotes from the source:
“Cageside Seats has now reported that according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the set up for the match between John Cena and The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 is still scheduled to take place in the ‘next few weeks’.”
It was also stated that the segment featuring the Undertaker on Raw 25 was intentionally planned.
This speech from the Phenome was to mislead the fans so that they continue to think about his retirement for some more.
Considering him being in a good shape following the hip surgery, he will be back in the squared circle which is almost certain.
