In recent times, there has been a lot of negative backlash over the career of Brock Lesnar in the WWE. The main reason behind this is his part-time stint in the company. He literally hides behind his contract, according to Roman Reigns. It also allows him not be bound by his responsibility for being the champion.

Moreover, there were also a couple of incidents which fuelled up the negative comments from the fans.

Lesnar did not show up for the better part of the Universal Championship feud for Wrestlemania 34. Plus, for two consecutive house show outings, the title-holder squashed his opponents in just a mere minute of time which made the fans frustrated.

With the help of the masterpiece promo delivered by Reigns towards Lesnar, the audience really turned on against the reigning champion.

The fans did take it in a heartfelt way drawing more backslash towards him. So, they were not happy to see the beast incarnate retaining the title at Wrestlemania 34 where the stage was all set for a coronation that Roman Reigns deserves.

However, he digested a hellacious beatdown to end up losing, yet again.

This happened due to Lesnar signing a new contract with the WWE by virtue of which he would continue his title run.

Meanwhile, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave an update. The details of the extension of the deal between WWE and the reigning Universal Champion came to the forth.

It is definitely a short-time deal that will not long last. This might be why WWE has not let any details out of the bag, for now. The Conqueror might be seen only in just a few matches up to the Summerslam PPV.

Additionally, he will be seen performing in the UFC promotion, too.

“Meltzer added that the deal will also allow Lesnar to return to the UFC for at least one fight, possibly more. It will be 6 months or so before Lesnar can fight due to the USADA testing, and Lesnar has yet to re-enter the testing poll. Meltzer speculated that Lesnar may not be looking to fight at all, using the UFC talk as leverage with WWE, but if that was the case then he likely would have signed a longer deal with WWE.”

Currently, Brock Lesnar successfully defended his championship against Reigns in a rematch from Wrestlemania at the Greatest Royal Rumble event.

This was contested inside a steel cage and ended in a major controversy. He is expected to continue his title reign in order to break the record of CM Punk’s 434-day title reign.
