Asuka remained undefeated for the entire part of her WWE career until Wrestlemania 34. Until that show, she was neither pinned nor submitted in singles or tag matches. But the dominant run came to an end at the hands of Charlotte Flair, at the showcase of immortals. Afterward, it seems that everyone is ready for Asuka. As a result of the same, we have seen another loss for her at the bygone tag team match on Smackdown Live.
Asuka teamed up with Becky Lynch to face the team of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, the IIconics.
Despite dominating the match and being the absolute favourites, the latter team picked up the win playing dirty tricks. This was the second loss for Asuka in her WWE career.
But, we need to remember that she never suffered the pinfall loss.
Rather, Becky digested it after Peyton rolled her up with the help of the bottom ropes. The loss came as a shocker for the fans as well as the babyface team who thought of an easy win.
So, the Irish Lass-kicker was seen in an interview at the backstage area. While mourning the loss, she ran into the Absolution who was talking trash about the former champion. This is what they were talking about, (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“They discussed how embarrassing it is that Lynch cost Asuka her first match on SmackDown Live and wondered what happened to the woman who was the first-ever SmackDown Live Women’s Champion. This is when Becky Lynch had something to say and she didn’t mix words much because that’s not her style.”
“I’ll side kick your head off, I’ll help you rearrange your face” was her ultimate reply which is why a feud between Becky Lynch and these newly arrived names on the Smackdown roster seems evident.
For now, the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville has denied to such a controversial comment.
But, that is not the original scene. These two have done the same, intentionally. For the entire time of this segment, Becky, Mandy, and Sonya were seen in the same frame.
So, there’s no doubt that the heels were not telling the truth.
The source also mentioned that Asuka will be seen teaming up with Becky to form a group to deal with the likes of the IIconics and the former Absolution members, on the Smackdown brand.
