WWE Video: Brock Lesnar Defended His Universal Championship Against Sheamus 1

Brock Lesnar has defended his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman at the No Mercy PPV. It was his toughest challenge, till date as the monster among men is on a roll, as of late. Despite the momentum on the behemoth’s side, the beast incarnate was able to topple him after a physical battle and continue his title reign.

It was supposed that the champion would be on a hiatus, going forward as his contract does not permit him to compete for an extended amount of time. He was not expected to make any further appearance in this year. Next year’s Royal Rumble PPV was supposed to witness the next title defence featuring him on WWE TV. However, it looks like, WWE does not intend to send him to a hiatus.

So, quite surprisingly, Brock Lesnar showed up at a house show for defending his title. It was a surprising match since no earlier announcement was made regarding this. The Raw-exclusive live event in Winnipeg, Canada witnessed a blockbuster Universal Championship match as the beast returned to the city after a long time.

He had quite a surprising opponent in-store who has not been on the singles title picture for a long time. It was the former WWE Champion, Sheamus pitted against him for the match with Cesaro standing in his corner.

But, that did not do any favour for the challenger since the champion dominated the entire matchup. The finish was predictable as he picked up the win by delivering with one single F-5. Due to his limited television appearances, Lesnar will not be able to perform in the WWE TLC PPV but is supposed to be present at Survivor Series.

According to the recent reports from cagesideseats.com, the creative team will allow him to win every single match that he will feature with just one single F-5. This will make him look stronger going into the Wrestlemania 34 main event against Roman Reigns. The latter one is bound to topple the reigning champion which will make him look even stronger than ever.
