WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Raw: September 18, 2017
Tonight is going to mark the final episode before the No Mercy PPV. It is needless to say that the event has shaped up to be a huge one with first-ever matches. We will see the final buildup of the show on WWE Raw for Cena-Reigns and Lesnar-Strowman rivalries.
Plus, a big matchup has already got confirmed from the women’s division. Two former friends who will collide in a fatal-4-way title match on this Sunday will go one-on-one in a singles competition. The episode will take place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
Before the Summerslam event, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss used to be the best of friends until the former one turned on the champion. So, tonight will mark the much-anticipated singles encounter between these two. As per the updates from WWE.com, Nia is supposed to continue with her momentum,
“Just six nights before Alexa Bliss defends her Raw Women’s Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Match at WWE No Mercy, she’ll have to take on one of her challengers, the imposing Nia Jax, in singles action on Raw. Will Little Miss Bliss once again regret getting on the bad side of the forceful Jax?”
John Cena and Roman Reigns were supposed to have a final confrontation before the No Mercy PPV. However, the Cenation Leader is with Smackdown roster for the China tour. So, he is not likely to be present on the show. Hence, The Big Dog will pick up some momentum by taking a shot on his opponent.
On the other hand, Braun Strowman is on a roll, as of late. For a couple of times, he dominated Brock Lesnar on WWE Raw. Tonight, we might see a final face-off between the two of them. It will be interesting to see whether the beast can gain the upper hand before his title defence.
The Miz has given a big news on last week’s WWE Raw of his wife getting pregnant. However, there’s no definite future of his IC title, yet again. The GM has not clarified against whom he would defend the prestigious title at No Mercy. Tonight, we might get some hint on it.
The heated feud between Sheamus-Cesaro and Rollins-Ambrose will continue. Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor will also carry on playing their mind games on each other trying to pick the momentum before their PPV match.
