WWE: What to Expect from this Week’s Raw: September 4, 2017

We are just three weeks away from the No Mercy PPV. Although it’s a so-called B grade event in WWE’s calendar, this year it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest. The matches declared so far is somewhat Wrestlemania worthy and the momentum should be continued, even tonight.

WWE.com has already announced a huge steel cage match for the main event of WWE Raw where two giants would collide. Plus, there will be a first-time ever matchup for the Intercontinental Championship in the other main event. The show will be hosted by the Century Link Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Last week, the crowd was disappointed not to see Braun Strowman on WWE Raw. At this time, he is the hottest thing going on in the sports entertainment. It was a smart booking from the creative team as to save the main event of No Mercy by avoiding further physical contacts between these two giants.

Tonight, Strowman will return to create ruckus against Big Show inside a steel cage. This match is supposedly going to boost the ratings for the Labor Day episode of WWE Raw. In the end, the monster among men will soar with a victory to deliver yet another statement to Brock Lesnar.

Jeff Hardy emerging as the number one contender was a fresh booking by the officials. This would finally ensure that the Hardyz might start to perform as singles competitors in the future. Tonight, Jeff will get the opportunity to get back the IC title from The Miz.

However, it is quite unlikely that the title will change hands, at this earliest. There will be disqualification to the contest via interference from the entourage members. This will led to another match for the IC title at No Mercy.

After what transpired on the final segment of last week’s WWE Raw, it’s evident that Nia Jax will get a shot at the Women’s title. According to the reports of the official website of WWE, Emma might get inserted into the picture, too. In the past couple of weeks, she had picked up quite a bit momentum for the same reason.

The rivalry between Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor will continue after the latter one lost his opportunity for IC title via Wyatt’s interference. Sheamus & Cesaro still deserves a rematch for the tag titles, and we might get to know when they might get it.

Plus, en route to No Mercy, John Cena and Roman Reigns might bring on more fireworks to hype their rivalry.
