WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Smackdown Live: April 17, 2018 1

The second edition of Superstar Shakeup began on last night’s WWE Raw. The flagship show received pretty big names under their wings. Now, it’s time to see which nee names Smackdown Live can acquire from the A-show of the company. This process will end on tonight’s edition.

Already some major names were acquired on the rival brand. Furthermore, the new acquisitions will revamp the scenario on the blue brand, entirely.

Also, the rivalry between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will be taken forward for the Backlash PPV event. Tonight, Smackdown Live will be hosted at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Things have drastically changed on Smackdown Live, as some of the prime names have been shifted to WWE Raw. It is quite certain that some of the superstars will come down to the blue brand from the rival brand, tonight. The first one might be the Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins.

Apart from this switch, two big names from the women’s division are likely to join the Tuesday Night show. Asuka and Bayley are the two names concerned, whereas, names from the tag team division like The Bar might also follow them.

The feud between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura was given a completely new complexion with the latter one turning heel. For two consecutive nights, the champion was blasted by low blows and left lying in the ring. So, he will definitely try to give it back to his opponent to set up a rematch at Backlash PPV.

Also, a new rivalry should begin in the women’s championship scenario. Carmella had dethroned Charlotte Flair from her throne. It will be interesting to see whether she can pick momentum as a strong heel champion. With Charlotte remaining on the Smackdown Live brand, these two will certainly continue to build up the rivalry.

The Usos have received another chance to reclaim their tag team titles. They will compete against the new champions, The Bludgeon Brothers at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV event. The Samoan force will try to set up their penitentiary for one more time to lock down their opponents, for sure.

Also, The Miz will return to the blue brand after one year to start a new feud, probably with Daniel Bryan.
