WWE: What to Expect from this Week’s Smackdown Live: April 3, 2018 1

Tonight will mark the final live TV programming on WWE weekly schedule prior to the Wrestlemania 34 show.

This would be the last night after which all the superstars will head to the ‘Big Easy’ for the ‘show of shows’. But, before that, we can expect a packed show from the Smackdown Live brand with multiple comebacks scheduled to happen on the show.

The commissioner’s status is in jeopardy for quite sometimes that should be addressed. His two opponents from Wrestlemania will also be allowed after the ban is temporarily lifted. Furthermore, the Smackdown women’s champion will also appear after an injury scare broke out, last week. Tonight’s episode will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

As per the updates from WWE.com, last week, Shane McMahon was in no condition to compete at the biggest event of the year. But, just a day later, Daniel Bryan announced that Shane is teaming up with him for a tag team match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. There’s no confirmed update given in this situation which should be clarified on Smackdown, this week.

Considering the fact this match has been sanctioned by the officials, Shane McMahon is fit to compete at the grandest stage of them all. Furthermore, he would seek vengeance against the two heels who would also be present on the show after the GM, last week lifted the ban.

We can expect all hell to break down when these four meets for one final confrontation on Smackdown.

Charlotte Flair also kept us in confusions after she was removed from any appearances, last week. Tonight, the champion is scheduled to come back on the show to give updates on her condition.

The match at Wrestlemania against Asuka will still be on, as the latter one will appear on the blue brand, for one last time before their bout finally happens. Also, the cancelled match from last week between Charlotte and Natalya will happen, tonight.

It will also be interesting to see what WWE does to hype up the dream match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura for one last time. The contender is having all the momentums by his side, at this point, whereas, the champion is said to be dealing with an MCL injury.

On Smackdown, these two are set to team up in a tag team match to take on the team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin in the main event.

In the tag team title picture, the champions need to fire back to the Bludgeons Brothers. At this point, the challengers have become invisible with their dominant run.

So, momentum is needed for them if they are intending to have their Wrestlemania moment by retaining their titles. Furthermore, Rusev will takes on Jinder Mahal just five days prior to their Wrestlemania title match.
