WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Smackdown Live: December 19th, 2017 1

The Clash of Champions PPV might be over, but there’s still a couple of weeks to go to conclude the year 2017. The PPV event turned out to be a successful one with well-execution. Tonight, we will witness the fallouts from the show from Sunday. The focal point will be the ongoing rift between the authority figures of Smackdown Live. The commissioner will address the situation.

Also, one championship changed hands at the PPV show, whereas, the reigning champs retained three of them. So, there might be some new rivalries coming up for them. The new angles are expected to be coming up on this edition of Smackdown Live which will be hosted at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

AJ Styles is still the WWE Champion following his win over Jinder Mahal in a clean way without any controversy. It was also clarified by the title-holder, himself that he will not be willing to give any more opportunity to the modern-day Maharaja.

However, next week, it will be a special episode, and we can expect the last rematch between these two in a special capacity.

It would be the last edition of the Tuesday Night show in 2017 which falls in the Holiday week. Hence, the advertisements are hinting a title match including the special guest referee. None other than Daniel Bryan is expected to be in this capacity as per the updates which might be officially announced, tonight. Also, a six-man tag match will take place with Styles, Nakamura, and Orton competing against Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

It also takes us to the conflict between him and Shane McMahon that has certainly reached the limit. The GM was the sole reason why Shane could not fire Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn from the blue brand. So, it is likely that the commissioner will be addressing the situation and take some further steps around them.

There are also some rumours going on in the Smackdown women’s picture after Natalya’s promo following her title match against Charlotte. According to this, she might be willing to bid goodbye to the company. But, it is not assured since she also delivered some nasty comments to the Flair clan. We will learn about the consequences of the announcement including the next challenger for the Queen of the brand.

Dolph Ziggler is current United States Champion and delivered a strong statement, after the win. However, the former champions are more than frustrated following the loss. He is determined to get the title back which should be contested, next week. Also, after their domination, The Bludgeon Brothers might get an opportunity to challenge The Usos for the tag team championships. Meanwhile, The Usos will face Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable on tonight.
