WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Smackdown Live: November 28th, 2017

Unlike WWE Raw, Smackdown Live has a PPV card to fill up in the coming weeks. It will be the Clash of Champions PPV that is going to be the last PPV event in the year 2017. Team Blue already announced the main event of the night to promote the show from last week onwards. Tonight, the momentum will be taken forward.

A first-time ever matchup is stored in the main event of the show. Plus, the WWE championship storyline will also be in progress with a two-on-one handicap match. Also, stored in the night will be a Fashion Files segment with the host, Breezango. This week’s edition of Smackdown Live will be hosted at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

As stated earlier, this will be a first-time matchup on Smackdown Live when Randy Orton takes on Kevin Owens. Last week while the show was going off the air, Daniel Bryan announced this matchup to punish the prizefighter. For several weeks now, Owens has been showing his heel antics on the authority. He is supposed to pay the price as per WWE.com,

“Following a chaotic Lumberjack Match where Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn believed they were on the verge of being fired, SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan announced that KO would be squaring off with Randy Orton next week. What retribution will The Viper be seeking following Owens and Zayn’s heinous actions at Survivor Series that were instrumental in costing Team SmackDown the win?”

Apart from this one match, there will be another interesting matchup when AJ Styles takes on The Singh Brother in a handicapped match. Being a fighting champion, the phenomenal one dares to take on any resistance thrown towards him. However, it might not be good for him with the number games not being in his favour. Jinder Mahal will be lurking around to get his hands on the champion, for sure.

The debutants from NXT will continue to build momentums on Smackdown by targeting the prime female names available in the locker room. As a result of last week’s assault, Becky Lynch will miss the show in the upcoming weeks. Meanwhile, it is expected that Charlotte, Natalya, and Naomi will work together to set up a PPV match against the trio.

A new feud is expected to pick up between Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode. The lacklustre US title storyline featuring Sin Cara is over, and hence a new feud is required in this slot. The New Day will face the team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable in a tag team championship match.
