WWE is still in the city of Manchester to host the Smackdown Live show. The people will get to watch WWE actions for two consecutive nights. We are less than two weeks away from the annual Survivor Series PPV. The hype-up is expected to build higher, as the blue brand will fill up the last spot for the PPV.
Plus, a huge championship match is set to happen on tonight’s show. If any upset result occurs on the night, then the lineup for Survivor Series will get changed. This edition will take place at the Manchester Arena, and due to the time difference, the show will be taped instead of a live show.
In case you don’t know, the WWE Championship will be on the line. Last week, Jinder Mahal assaulted AJ Styles with the Singh Brothers to lay him down. It was not taken well by the commissioner of the show, and he booked the title match for the main event of the night.
In case the title change takes place tonight then AJ Styles will be the one to take on Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. However, chances are pretty less with this scenario. The match is supposed to be a street fight one which means it will get contested under No DQ rules. It will allow the Singh Brothers to get involved in the match and allow Jinder to retain the title.
Previously, AJ Styles was scheduled to take on Rusev on Smackdown to determine the final participant from team blue. The match got replaced by the title bout. Hence, we are still in doubt whether Rusev got inserted into the PPV match or he will have to compete in a match to earn the opportunity. We are going to hear updates on the situation.
Another championship match has been announced to take place on the show for the tag team championship. Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable will get their first opportunity post becoming the number one contender for the championship title. It is unlikely that the title will change hands, tonight. The strong champions will retain easily to confirm the Survivor Series match against The Bar.
The best friend duo, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens are now out of the upcoming PPV card. It is likely that they will continue their vendetta against the men who defeated them, i.e. Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Also, Sin Cara got a recent push against the United States Champion, Baron Corbin. So, the masked superstar will continue to hunt down the Lone Wolf to grab the title. It will be interesting to see whether the women’s division can remain united before the PPV match. Tonight, Becky Lynch is slated to face James Ellsworth in an intergender matchup.
