WWE Backlash has left us with a lot of unanswered questions on Smackdown Live.
Instead of settling some of the rivalries at the past PPV event, we have witnessed count-outs and blindside attacks to heat up the situations, even more.
Tonight, we will witness major fallouts from this past Sunday night that will raise the bars high for the upcoming PPV event, Money in the Bank.
Speaking of this brings us to the ever exciting gimmick match in the WWE. Starting from tonight, Smackdown will gear up for the next PPV event in line. After going forward from the Backlash PPV event, we expect a strong buildup for the June’s PPV. Tonight’s edition of Smackdown will take place at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
The WWE Championship storyline between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will continue after what happened at Backlash. The latter one hit another low blow to the champion. But, this time around, he received the favour back. It led to the disqualification of the match.
Now, the question stands whether these two will lock horns in another matchup? After Wrestlemania, Greatest Royal Rumble and Backlash, the same lineup will make things repetitive for the fans. In that case, we might get a new contender for the title on Smackdown Live.

Another feud that will continue is between Daniel Bryan and Big Cass. The latter one has delivered a massive ambush on the former Smackdown general manager that left him lying on the back. We have not seen or heard from him after that incident. Hopefully, a positive update will be provided to him.
Apart from these two feuds, there will be some matches just like last night’s WWE Raw. All of the respective winners will get included into the Money in the Bank match. The Miz will take on against Jeff Hardy in one of them.
In another match on Smackdown, Daniel Bryan will have a match against Rusev. From the women’s division, it will be Charlotte Flair locking horns against Peyton Royce to reserve her spot at the MITB match.
In the women’s division, Carmella had successfully retained her title at the Backlash PPV.
