WWE Raw will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the show, next week. It will also be the go home show for the Royal Rumble PPV which means things will certainly be heated up tonight to set the tone of the historic occasion, next week. We expect to see a couple of big-time matches, tonight.
Already, one of the main event matches was confirmed, last week between two strong forces from the women’s division. Plus, a huge six-man tag team match expected to take place on the show to hype-up the Intercontinental Championship match on Raw 25. Tonight’s episode will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Kurt Angle made the match between Nia Jax and Asuka official on last week’s show after the latter one suffered an assault at the hands of Jax. These two have met back on the NXT roster. But, they will cross paths for the first time after coming to the main roster. Check out WWE.com hyping-up their meeting,
“After Nia Jax brutally ambushed her this past Monday night, Asuka will have a chance at redemption against the juggernaut, live on Raw. Can The Empress of Tomorrow keep her undefeated streak alive going into the first-ever 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match.”
The match is booked at a time when things are heated up for the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see whether the officials end the streak of Asuka, tonight. The speculations suggest that it will not be over, that easy. The match might get disqualified due to interferences or Asuka will pick up a big win.
Another thing that needs to be addressed on WWE Raw is Paige’s injury. The rumours of her retirement are running wild on the social media following the injury. We expect to learn an official update from the company regarding her current status. We hope that it’s not a negative one.
Last week’s WWE Raw ended with The Miz delivering a brutal attack on Roman Reigns. Tonight, the champion will be looking for his revenge, as declared on Twitter. Before the next week’s title match, he can expect to get Miz in a tag team match. It is likely that Reigns will team up with Seth Rollins, Jason Jordan to take on the Miztourage.
It is going to be a test for Jordan and Rollins too, as they are finding problems to get along for the past couple of weeks. Kane and Brock Lesnar expected to remain absent from the show since Braun Strowman delivered an inhuman attack on them. According to WWE.com, he will bring more chaos attacking someone else.
