WWE Raw had a strong outing at the Money in the Bank PPV event. They became victorious in both the ladder matches at the bygone show.
Braun Strowman got one step closer to becoming the Universal Champion by winning the men’s division ladder match. Alexa Bliss had already become the new champion to renew the era of the Goddess.
Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw will also kick-things of for the next WWE Network exclusive event. The storylines will progress towards Extreme Rules event that will take place on 15th of the next month. We should know the main event of the show by the end of tonight. The Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan will be the host of the show that comes live on Sony Ten 1 Network.
Alexa Bliss had reclaimed her throne on the flagship show once again. She pulled off a shocker by cashing in the MITB briefcase on the same night. It has happened only twice in the history of the WWE. It ensured she is the talking point at the end of the night topping Ronda Rousey or Nia Jax.
But Rousey must not be happy after the attack she suffered last night. So she is coming to seek redemption for sure, (courtesy WWE.com),
“Alexa’s celebration could prove extremely short-lived, as The Irresistible Force and The Baddest Women on the Planet will surely be looking to take issue with Alexa tonight on Monday Night Raw. Find out what happens tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network.”
An extended program for the summer is coming up involving these two, probably. But Nia Jax will claim her WWE Raw championship rematch for now.
We expect the former champion to get back the title at the Extreme Rules PPV next month. After that, Ronda Rousey will re-enter the title picture when Summerslam arrives.
Braun Strowman won the men’s division MITB ladder match. It was a pretty-much-guaranteed move from the WWE creative. It will be interesting to see what his next move is going to be. He already cleared his intentions to chase Brock Lesnar and the Universal title. But the champion rarely makes an appearance. We are unaware of when it is going to happen next. WWE Raw should give a hint to that.
Seth Rollins retained his Intercontinental Championship against Elias in a solid match at MITB. But it ended in sheer controversy when a strong champion like him pulled the tights of his opponent to retain. The general manager of WWE Raw should address this issue on the show tonight. It is just a way to frag this feud to the next PPV event in-line, i.e. Extreme Rules.
Roman Reigns had won his scheduled match at MITB against Jinder Mahal. The crowd might have given booing reactions to this match, but the rivalry will continue to go forward on the flagship show. We expect Jinder to backfire against Reigns to stretch this feud till the next event in line.
