Smackdown Live came up with a solid episode, last night. We witnessed an entertaining tag team match featuring the Usos and the Bar in the tag team tournament.

It was a great match that WWE legend Big Show praised about once the show got over. The Bar won to advance to the second round of the series.

Furthermore, there was a solid main event on Smackdown featuring Charlotte Flair and Carmella. The returning superstar capitalised on the sudden opportunity by defeating the champion via submission. Now she will get a championship opportunity at the Summerslam PPV. The women’s title match has now become a triple threat at the biggest event of the summer.

Charlotte Flair could not resist her excitement about getting a championship match just after her return. She looked happy about it on the Smackdown fallout show. Furthermore, the interviewer also asked her about facing her good friend in Becky Lynch at Summerslam. In reply, these were her statements,

“Tampa is where I started wrestling almost 6 years ago, so to come back tonight and make it to SummerSlam in a Triple Threat feels good. I haven’t even thought about facing my best friend. She’s been killing it the last 6 weeks, every Tuesday I tune in to watch her. But yeah, I knew I’d beat Carmella when it counted and I did, and I’m in the Triple Threat, and I’m ready to reclaim my throne. The Queen is back!”

There was a Wrestlemania rematch in the dark match of last night’s Smackdown Live. The crowd in attendance was fortunate enough to witness the WWE Champion in action. He went against his nemesis in the form of Nakamura.

Here’s the update from the non-title contest on the show, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com),

“The dark main event after tonight’s WWE 205 Live in Tampa, FL saw WWE Champion AJ Styles defeat WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a non-title champion vs champion match. The match went just under 10 minutes and saw AJ win with the Styles Clash, according to our correspondent Adam Santiago.”

Another dark match was in-store before the show went off the air. Interestingly, two WWE Raw superstars worked in this segment. Titus O’Neil showed up to entertain his hometown crowd in Tampa, Florida. He defeated Mike Kanellis in a singles contest.

Randy Orton also expressed her joy on the Smackdown fallout show for attacking Jeff Hardy on a continuous basis. Plus, The Bar was all fired to go into next week’s show. They have now received an opportunity to have a match at Summerslam. But first, they have to defeat the New Day for the contender’s spot.
