WWE: Women’s Division Match-up confirmed for Elimination Chamber

This week’s WWE Raw confirmed the names for the upcoming Elimination Chamber matchup.
Kurt Angle addressed the situation in a segment stating that Alexa Bliss will be making history by defending her Women’s Championship against five other participants inside the Elimination Chamber, for the very first time. The names of the contenders were declared serially by the general manager.
It turned out to be Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose who will be getting a shot to the title. The point to be noted here is the only behemoth from the Raw women’s division was definitely missing from the lineup.
We are talking about Nia Jax who was surprisingly kept out of the equation from getting a championship shot.
The reason was disclosed later as the GM had something special for the Samoan Superstar.
Due to her dominant run on the flagship show, Nia will get to compete at the women’s championship match even after not competing inside Elimination Chamber structure. The only thing she will have to do is to become the winner of another matchup.
One has to wonder: Is @AlexaBliss_WWE more worried about defending her title in an Elimination Chamber match…OR the possibility that @NiaJaxWWE could JOIN the #RAW #WomensTitle match at @WrestleMania if she defeats @WWEAsuka at #WWEChamber?! pic.twitter.com/zNUumE5i0V

It was announced by the General Manager that Nia Jax will face Asuka on February 25th on the same night where the championship’s fate will also be at the stake.
If the big woman can defeat and end Asuka’s streak on that night then she will automatically be added to the championship match at Wrestlemania 34.
In that case, the title match will become a triple threat match also featuring the champion and Asuka, the Royal Rumble winner.
Check out the confirmation from WWE.com regarding this matchup:
“At WWE Elimination Chamber, the undefeated Asuka will battle Nia Jax in a one-on-one showdown. If The Irresistible Force can manage to overcome her opponent’s unbeaten streak, she will earn the right to be part of the Raw Women’s Championship Match at WrestleMania.
“Will the formidable Jax derail The Empress of Tomorrow and set off on the road to WrestleMania? Or will the undefeated Superstar once again show that no one is ready for Asuka? Find out at WWE Elimination Chamber, Sunday, Feb. 25, at 8 ET/5 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.”
“When I’m done with you, you’re not going to be the #EmpressOfTomorrow, you’re going to be the #EmpressOfYesterday!” Safe to say, @NiaJaxWWE is READY for @WWEAsuka! #RAW pic.twitter.com/YrdCupLGjz

Asuka has won the Royal Rumble winner and already in the future championship match that will be hosted at Wrestlemania of the Elimination Chamber.
Considering that she belongs to the WWE Raw brand, it is likely that she will challenge the superstar who will hold the WWE Raw women’s championship at the biggest stage of them all.
It will be interesting to see whether her winning streak comes to an end even prior to that at the hands of the Irresistible Force of the women’s division.
