WWE Wrestlemania 34: Results From The Kick-Off Show 1

This year, the Wrestlemania 34 kick-off show was stacked to a whole new level with two battle royal matches taking place in it.

As per the previous announcements, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal alongside the inaugural women’s battle royal was scheduled to take place on the show. Also, the Cruiserweight Championship match was added to the card, as well. Check out the results from these matches,

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
It was the fifth annual battle royal at Wrestlemania named after Andre the Giant.

This is the matchup where several names from the main roster compete to steal the spotlight. These are the full superstars’ list who were seen in the matchup:

Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley, Baron Corbin, Goldust, Mike Kanellis, Curt Hawkins, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Apollo, Titus O’Neal, Viktor, Konnor, R-Truth, Rhyno, Heath Slater, Tye Dillinger, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable, “WOKEN” Matt Hardy, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Sin Cara, Kane, Aiden English.

A massive brawl broke out inside the ring to start the match. Some random eliminations follow the match, as Kane, Corbin, Matt Hardy and Mojo Rawley were the final four to stand in the ring. Corbin eliminated Kane, quickly. The remaining two heels started double teaming against Hardy when Bray Wyatt suddenly appeared inside the ring. This distraction allowed Matt Hardy to capitalise and win the battle royal at Wrestlemania.

After the match, Bray Wyatt and Woken Matt Hardy formed a team and embraced each other to the shock of the WWE Universe.

Cruiserweight Championship Match – Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali

A tournament was hosted for almost two months to crown the two finalists for this title match on WWE 205 Live. Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali turned out to be the last two in the series setting up the final match at Wrestlemania.

It was a roller-coaster ride throughout the match, as both the competitors hit their finishing moves but were unable to capitalise.

In the closing segments, Cedric Alexander hit three back elbows to Mustafa Ali following with a Lumbercheck to win the Cruiserweight championship at Wrestlemania. A ringside sitting John Cena gives him a standing ovation to end the segment.

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

With the women’s roster continuously growing, a women’s battle royal was evident. Hence, this was introduced in this year’s Wrestlemania so that a bunch of female talents can be a part of the show in New Orleans. Superstars from NXT also received the chance to compete in this, as it came down to Sasha Banks and Bayley in the finishing segments.

The crowd loved it, as Bayley eliminated Sasha Banks to win the match. But, Naomi was never eliminated and came from behind to chock Bayley.

She eliminated the Hugger after hitting a rear-view to win the inaugural women’s battle royal.
