WWE Wrestlemania 34: WWE Universal Championship Match Result 1

The lineup for the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar was finalized, even before last year’s Wrestlemania.

This was the match that needed to happen before the beast incarnate leaving the company for one more MMA-run. It would give a boost to the career of Roman Reigns when he could finally topple the reigning champion from his throne.

After winning the title at last year’s Wrestlemania, Brock Lesnar had the most decisive run in the company. No one had been able to pin or submit him for a long span. So, he had quite a dominant championship run that lasted for more than one year before his New Orleans showdown with the franchise player of the company.

The stakes were much high around in this match after the altercations from past few weeks.

The Big Dog was ambushed by the champion for quite a few times which is why he was in a vengeance-seeking mode. He entered the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the midst of slight boos from the crowd.

Brock Lesnar came out at Wrestlemania with Paul Heyman by his side to compete in his last match in the WWE, perhaps.

A short staredown happened between the competitors inside the ring before they locked up to start the match. The beast charged the franchise player, instantly taking him into the corner.

Big shoulder blocks were followed to the already injured mid-section of Roman Reigns. Three suplexes were delivered within 20 seconds by the champion.

Roman Reigns came right back into the contest by hitting two superman punches. He delivered a big clothesline on Lesnar to send him out of the ring. He also tried to deliver one superman punch on Lesnar out of the ring but caught by another German Suplex on the floor.

In total, eight suplexes were delivered to Roman Reigns, as we were seeing a throwback from three years ago.

Roman Reigns delivered two back to back spears on Brock Lesnar but failed to get the pinfall. Lesnar too hit not one but two F5’s, but Reigns kicked out of that making it a surreal moment. Later, a devastating F5 was delivered on Roman Reigns through the commentary table by The Conqueror.

Roman Reigns was leaking blood from his in-gear after another F-5 was delivered to Reigns. The beast incarnate ensued rampage around the ringside while ending Wrestlemania on a surprising note.
