WrestleMania 37 is a long way down the road but this is one of those nights for which WWE starts planning in advance, months ago. The main event of the show often gets determined way ahead of the event, sometimes even a year ago. However, the current coronavirus situation has put everything in uncertainty including professional wrestling.
There have been recent reports where it was indicated that the initial plans to hold a main-event rematch between Edge and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship have gone out of the window. The status of WrestleMania 37 itself in jeopardy in the original host venue that is SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California as gatherings are banned for more than a year.

WWE Wrestlemania 37: Roman Reigns Gets Main-Event Challenge
At present circumstances, it’d be too rushed to say anything about any concrete match at WrestleMania 37. But there’s one particular superstar who is gunning for WWE’s Big Dog and the championship possessed by him on that particular night. It’s up to WWE officials, whether they want to make the match happen or not.
While speaking to AwardsWatch, WWE SmackDown Superstar The Miz said that he wants to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 in 2021. Although Miz is billed from Cleveland, he is a Hollywood A-lister who belongs to California. Hence he wants to be back in the marquee scene, next year.

“Cleveland is my hometown, but LA is where I live, and so I consider that home as well. So, to be in my backyard, to not be the main event of WrestleMania, will be a huge disappointment on my behalf.
Now I look at the card and I look at who just came back. ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns. Not only that, but he won the Universal Championship and now he has Paul Heyman in his pocket. He is the most dangerous Superstar in all of WWE now.
If you didn’t believe he had it before, which I did believe, I’ve always believed he had it…but if you didn’t believe, now with Heyman in his pocket…you are going to believe. Cause Heyman will make you believe.
I need to take my own advice and start getting more serious. Getting more elevated inside the WWE ring to where people will view me as a viable opponent for someone like Roman Reigns as Universal Champion with Paul Heyman by his side. I know what I need to do now.”
The Miz and Roman Reigns are no strangers to each other when it comes to in-ring competition. These two have previously been involved in various feuds and matches including one main event match on Raw 25th anniversary where Miz defeated Reigns for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship.
If WrestleMania 37 has to host the rematch between these two then the dimension will be fully changed due to the recent heel-turn of Reigns. He has main-evented WrestleMania on many occasions and would be happy to do it, again.
