The two marquee matches for Wrestlemania 39 premium live event has made official shortly after Royal Rumble, last weekend. As seen during the PLE, Cody Rhodes emerged as the winner of the men’s over-the-top-rope battle royal to secure his place in the main event of the Show of Shows set for April.
It was already assumed that he’ll be walking into Los Angeles at Wrestlemania 39 to square off with the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE confirmed the match during the post-Royal Rumble episode of Raw. Betting odds around the mega encounter are now out, courtesy of BetOnline.

Bettings odds revealed for Mania
The early odds suggest that The American Nightmare is the favorite to retain his title at Wrestlemania 39. Currently, Rhodes is regarded as the favorite to win the undisputed title match as he stands at -400 (1/4). On the flip side, The Tribal Chief remains a sizable underdog right now with his odds sitting at +250 (5/2). This is the first time in a long time that the reigning champion is heading into a title defense as the underdog.
Undisputed titles could change hands before Wrestlemania 39
Things can certainly change big-time on the road to WrestleMania 39 as WWE could be reserving a swerve, down the road. The ongoing events on WWE weekly episodes as well as the upcoming WWE premium live event, Elimination Chamber should affect the betting odds.
A huge angle will culminate in at Elimination Chamber, two weeks from now that could change the title picture in a massive way. The Bloodline is sorting out the Sami Zayn problem after what transpired after the main event at the Royal Rumble 2023 PLE. Zayn turned on Reigns after serving The Bloodline for such a long time and he’s slated to challenge Reigns for the undisputed title at Chamber.
Zayn is an organic babyface and WWE Universe shouldn’t be having a problem with him becoming a champion by dethroning Roman Reigns in front of his hometown of Montreal. But, WWE perhaps doesn’t have faith in Zayn as a Wrestlemania 39 main-eventer who could keep the title on Reigns’ shoulders, after all. In that case, Rhodes vs. Reigns will be kept intact for the April PLE.
