For three consecutive years, Bianca Belair will be involved in a championship match at the biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 39 in early April. Back at WrestleMania 38, Belair defeated Becky Lynch to win the RAW Women’s Championship and since then she hasn’t lost the title since then to hold the championship for more than 335 days.

With this title run, Belair has made history as she currently is the longest-reigning Black (male or female) World Champion in WWE history. As every great thing has to end at some point, indications are pretty clear that this historic title reign of Belair might come to an end at WrestleMania 39, when she faces women’s Elimination Chamber match winner Asuka in her next title defense.

Coming back on WWE Raw with a new gimmick at the beginning of this year, Asuka has absolutely been booked in a monstrous way by the WWE creative. Possessing an undefeated streak keeping the Royal Rumble match out of context, The Empress of Tomorrow currently has an undefeated streak ongoing which may not end at Wrestlemania 39, if the betting odds are any indications.

Asuka is the winner of the 2023 women’s Elimination Chamber match by tapping out Carmella with the Asuka Lock on February 18. Asuka was always the favorite to win that match, per the released odds in comparison to her opponents, Nikki Cross, Carmella, Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, and Natalya. That win earned Asuka the championship shot at Wrestlemania 39.
