Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 is going to be the next big event in the WWE calendar following the two-most stupendous nights of Wrestlemania 38. All the fallouts from the bygone show will be producing some big-time matches to fill up the card and the storylines targeted to the upcoming event have begun on this week’s Smackdown.
It appears that a stipulated match will be on the card of Wrestlemania Backlash 2022. Ronda Rousey vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair for the title on the line will go down at Premium Live Event. But this match is likely to have an ‘I Quit’ rule applied to it.

Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 first match to be announced
Flair didn’t come out in person to confront Rousey but she did address the challenge from backstage, appearing on the big screen. She denied Rousey’s challenge but Rousey later confronted WWE Official Adam Pearce who said that the match was in the works. This match for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 is likely to be made official by tomorrow, Saturday. There’s a possibility that Rousey vs. Flair in an “I Quit” match could be announced during this week’s Talking Smack episode.
On Night One of WrestleMania 38, Ronda Rousey had Charlotte Flair beat as she made Flair tap out with the Armbar submission but the referee was knocked out at that time. Rousey tried to wake the referee up so that she could elaborate the situation but Charlotte took advantage of the distraction and hit her with a Big Boot to get the pin to win and thereby retain her title.
The rematch between these two is definitely coming at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 after what transpired on Smackdown. No other matches for the PLE have been announced, as of this writing, but Rousey, Flair, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks are being advertised.
WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 8 from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
