WWE: WWE Championship match declared for Fastlane
Feb 8, 2018 at 2:13 PM
Last night’s main event for Smackdown Live was declared one week prior to hype up the episode. It was all about to confirm the WWE Championship match at the Fastlane PPV. This is going to be the final PPV event before Wrestlemania 34.
After months of altercations between AJ Styles and the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, the first crack in the heel superstars’ relationship was caused, last week.
It was the idea of Daniel Bryan to put Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn into a match that was supposed to put an end to their friendship.
After they were robbed off an opportunity with a bad decision of the referee, a pledge to get a rematch was filed to the GM. He came up with the idea of putting Owens and Zayn against each other.

This was a huge twist in the tale adding a total new complexion in the main event spotlight for the blue brand.
The conflict between these two started from last week onwards as Sami Zayn left his partner all alone for a beatdown at the hands of Nakamura and AJ Styles.
So, the former friends collided in the anticipated match after hyping it up with promos prior to the match.
The starting of the match witnessed some quick moves from Sami Zayn who took the early control of the match.
After the commercial break, Owens came back into the match with a kick to his opponent’s head. After that, he connected with a big superkick following up with the splash but still missed the pinfall.
Zayn backfired with a Blue Thunder Bomb but could capitalize as Owens kicked out.

The contest was soon taken outside the ring where AJ Styles was sitting at the ringside area who did not hesitate to unload some moves on both of them making the contest a disqualification.
The next move was pretty predictable from the show-runners.
