In the main event of this week’s WWE NXT, Thea Hail won a Battle Royal to become the Number-One Contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. With this win, she will now be challenging the reigning champion Tiffany Stratton for the title on a yet-to-be-announced date.

Sometimes after the win, Hail took to Twitter and announced that she has made history on WWE NXT by officially becoming the youngest number-one contender in the history of WWE,

“youngest #1 contender in wwe history.”

Quickly after the win, she made a bold statement with the following statement, “As I said mama didn’t raise no b**** and dad didn’t raise no quitter I WILL BE NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPION.” Time will tell whether she becomes the new champion or not but in that case, she might be having the chance to even another record on WWE NXT held by Paige for becoming the youngest champion on the brand at the age of 19.

After securing the title match opportunity, Thea Hail also shared a moment with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels as it marked the biggest win of her career. Now it remains to be seen whether she is capable of beating Tiffany Stratton for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship.

Thea Hail won a battle royal on June 6 episode of WWE NXT

Stratton, the 24-year-old talent who won the WWE NXT Women’s Championship was crowned during the Battleground PPV event, last month. She won a tournament over the title to become the new champion and she’s now being touted as the next cornerstone figure of the women’s division. Then on this week’s NXT, she received her first challenger for the title in the form of Hail.

A Battle Royal to declare the new challenger featuring Dana Brooke, Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend, Elektra Lopez, Lola Vice, Tatum Paxley, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne, Cora Jade, Kiana James, Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, Fallon Henley, Yulisa Leon, Valentina Feroz, Brooklyn Barrow, Kelani Jordan, and the winner, Thea Hail.

Following the elimination of Fallon Henley, the final two in this battle royal were Jade and Brooke when Thea Hail re-entered the match (as she was never eliminated in the first place) to eliminate the remaining duo to capture a lifetime opportunity.
