ToggleWWE will be holding a huge event in Puerto Rico soon and the home-grown star Zelina Vega can’t be more excited about the news. In light of WWE’s announcement of hosting the Backlash premium live event from that region, the top WWE Smackdown took to her Instagram and made it clear that she wants to participate in the event as a competitor,
“Let it be my time. Truly this time.”
The topic of WWE holding more international events was discussed by Triple H at the post-WWE Survivor Series: WarGames press conference. It was then that The Game advised the WWE Universe to stay tuned for a Puerto Rico event. Zelina Vega then mentioned in a follow-up interview that she would love to have a WWE event held in Puerto Rico.

Not only that, Zelina Vega stated in that appearance with WWE Die Woche that she really wants to have a title match in Puerto Rico,
“If WWE really does go to Puerto Rico and that does become a thing, I hope that I get the opportunity to challenge for the title because what better way than to be in Puerto Rico, where my family’s from, and just be able to have that moment there. That would be the cherry on top of my perfect career. I will not complain about anything else ever.”
Zelina Vega became a champion since returning to WWE in 2021
Zelina Vega is one of the most active superstars from the WWE roster current roster. Over the past couple of years, her growth has been remarkable but that also came with a speed bump. She opened an account on a third-party platform to get fired by the WWE in the past. But, she found her way back to the WWE and scored the biggest win in her career by claiming the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament.
Moving on, Zelina Vega went on to become a Women’s Tag Team Champion with Carmella but an injury forced her to go on a hiatus. Then WWE brought her back as the manager of Legado del Fantasma but not as a competitor. It’s safe to say that whether or not being on TV, she always manages to stay relevant due to her excellent presence on social media.
