Slammy Awards 2024 is back after a gap of three years and it will essentially be adding to the festivities set for the Wrestlemania 40. Given WWE’s confirmation, this ceremony will go down during the premium live event weekend. It was announced last night that the classic awards ceremony is returning this year, along with a fan voting system to determine the winners.
The Slammy Awards 2024 ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 7, and it will be available to watch on WWE’s official YouTube, X, Facebook, Twitch, and TikTok accounts. Fans attending Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for WWE WrestleMania 40 can attend the award live as part of the WWE World interactive experience.

Interestingly, the Slammy Awards 2024 will return on April 7, the same day as WrestleMania 40: Sunday. The ceremony will be hosted by Big E of The New Day and Cathy Kelley but fans should expect special appearances by numerous other WWE Superstars. The Fan Choice Awards will go down from the WWE World Convention Center.

Alongside The Slammy Awards 2024, WWE World is set to feature a “WWE 2K24” tournament, roundtable discussions between WWE performers, live podcast recordings, and more. Tickets for WWE World are ranging between $30 and $300. The event is set to run from Thursday, April 4 until Monday, April 8, at the above-mentioned venue in Pennsylvania.
Before the Slammy Awards 2024, WWE last held this tradition in December 2020, with the Superstar of the Year award going to Drew McIntyre while Match of the Year went to the Boneyard Match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles. The Slammys were originally hosted since the 80s in the WWE with the company occasionally bringing it back if they felt it right. Over the years, many of the top WWE Superstars grabbed these Slammys to elevate their careers upon this achievement.
WWE has confirmed the categories of the Slammy Awards 2024 and it includes the male-female superstars of the year alongside the top match. Multiple other categories are available which can be seen on WWE’s official website. Voting lines are open and it will be available through Wednesday, March 27.
