Back in 2018 when Toni Storm finally had the opportunity to start a stint in the WWE for the very first time, the thought was that she finally got her big break after roaming around the independent circuit all around the globe. However, with endless bad bookings, she only had the opportunity to win the NXT UK Title in her WWE career while her flourishing process as a talent was totally halted be it on NXT or Smackdown roster.

Now, as a top talent on the All Elite Wrestling roster, the former WWE Superstar had the full privilege to take a shot at the WWE and its women’s talents. The second part of Toni Storm: Portrait Of A Star aired on the September 30 episode of AEW Collision on TNT Network.

While discussing her character change with RJ City, Toni Storm said that she is now enjoying the peak phase. While touching down all her recent accomplishments, she also took a shot at the infamous angle she was involved in during her final run in the WWE by stating the following,

“I miss the old days. Slap on a backwards hat, slap a pie in someone’s face, and they love you.”

Toni Storm once feuded with Charlotte Flair on Smackdown

For those who don’t remember, Toni Storm was seen feuding with Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in late 2021. During the only program that she was involved in during her blue brand run, she featured in a segment where Flair hit her with a pie in the face. Later, she returned the favor to Flair which eventually also set up a title rematch between the two.

Eventually, Charlotte ended up retaining her title by squashing Toni Storm on an episode of December. This kind of burial allegedly led the latter to ask for her release from WWE after which she quickly got signed to the AEW. She now stands as the two-time Women’s World Champion in the company.

Starting her career by competing in the first-ever Mae Young Classic tournament, Toni Storm won the second edition of the tournament. Moving on, she headed to NXT UK to win the gold by featuring in a top feud against Rhea Ripley. After returning to the mainstay NXT brand, it marked the downfall of her WWE career.
