Another match from WWE Raw is now official for Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. As reported earlier, the United States Championship will be on the line when Rey Mysterio challenges Samoa Joe over the title on May 19th. The champion volunteered himself to a match against the ‘biggest little man’ in WWE’s history in a backstage segment. Later, WWE.com confirmed the match,

“Mysterio not only earned another opportunity at the U.S. Title with his victory, but a proud Dominick also met Rey at the top of the stage and hoisted his father upon his shoulders. Will the masked legend finally conquer arguably the most vicious and sadistic Superstar in WWE and become a Grand Slam Champion? Don’t miss WWE Money in the Bank, streaming live on Sunday, May 19, at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network!”

Surprisingly though, Samoa Joe made the announcement to Dominic, Rey Mysterio’s son. He reminded the last Wrestlemania encounter between these two that ended in a one-sided affair. Joe dismantled Mysterio in under one minute. So another straight-up warning followed from Joe before they go to battle out once more at Money in the Bank.

Prior to WWE Raw went on air, this week, WWE.com already hinted that we may be getting another title match for Money in the Bank. The setup for the United States title match was already there after Rey Mysterio pinned Samoa Joe via a clean roll-up that should have handed him the title bout. So here’s what WWE had to offer,

“Mysterio defeated The Samoan Submission Machine in a non-title match, leaving Joe shaken in the ring and Rey’s son Dominick beaming from ear-to-ear. Of course, while a win doesn’t guarantee anything for The Ultimate Underdog, his use of the hands-across-the-waist taunt atop his son’s shoulders says it all: He wants the title. And now, he’s got a case for a championship bout.”

In addition, the rivalry between Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe became colorful with the inclusion of his son Dominic into the context. Rumors suggested that he may have a storyline planned for the Wrestlemania match between these two veterans. But that did not take place and the official may have shifted this to Money in the Bank. With the United States title match getting official, we expect Dominic to involve in this scenario in some capacity.
