Coming up short in the Wednesday Night War, WWE NXT is reportedly coming up with a huge change. The format is likely to become similar to the original format of the brand that was during the inaugural season, all the way back in 2010. While things are looking exciting for the third brand of the WWE, some are skeptical about the change given how compact NXT used to be in comparison to WWE’s mainstream products.
Meanwhile, the upcoming changes will be noticeable by all means as big dynamic changes on the roster are likely to be observed. Indi Hartwell and Raquel Gonzalez are two of the biggest stars in WWE NXT’s women’s division. Both used to be heels in the recent past while they will soon be turning into a different character, going forward.

Raquel Gonzalez successfully defended her WWE NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Takeover 36 against her former bestie Dakota Kai. This rivalry itself provided the ingredients to change her character since Kai remained a heel. Meanwhile, Raquel herself is a behemoth character who will have no problem converting into a babyface dynamic.

As for Hartwell, she is involved in a wedding storyline with Dexter Lumis with Hartwell proposing to Lumis on a recent episode of WWE NXT. The wedding will air, live on September 14, marking the split for Hartwell with The Way faction. InDex is thereby targeted to be heavy fan-favorites from this point onward.
Now, PW Insider reports that both Indi Hartwell and Raquel Gonzalez are slated to enjoy babyface runs from now. Gonzalez, being the reigning champion, is set to defend her title against the likes of Kay Lee Ray and Franky Monet in the near future. These two future challengers have already adopted heel personas to keep the babyface vs. heel equation intact.
As noted, with the upcoming rebranding of WWE NXT, the management does want a strong babyface women’s division to be in the lead in the form of Raquel Gonzalez. On the flip side, Indi Hartwell is set to be a popular babyface who is currently sitting outside the title picture. She will rather be dragging forward the popular romantic angle with Lumis. But she was a former champion by winning the women’s tag titles with Candice LeRae in the recent past.
