It was the second semi-final of the 2016 T20 World Cup. After winning the toss, West Indies sent the hosts India to bat first, who managed to set the first innings total of 192/2 (20 overs).
In reply, the no.4-positioned Caribbean batsman Lendl Simmons played the most crucial role for his team to snatch a victory (196/3 in 19.4 overs). Coming to bat in the difficult situation, when West Indies were struggling on 19/2, Simmons scored 82 not out off 51 balls and guided the team to the victory.
During that knock, the right-handed batsman Simmons hit 7 fours and 5 sixes as he scored 58 runs from the boundaries.
