Mustafizur Rahman (Bangladesh) – 20 wickets
Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman was the stand-out bowler for his country in the 2019 ODI World Cup. The left-arm pacer took 20 wickets in that tournament which was the joint third most wickets for a bowler in that tournament, but it was also the most wickets for a Bangladesh bowler in an edition of the Cricket World Cup. Before that edition, none of Bangladesh bowlers crossed 13 wickets in a CWC edition.
At the end of that tournament, while Bangladesh finished in the eighth position, Mustafizur had the overall bowling figures in that tournament of 72.1-2-484-20 (economy rate 6.70) with the bowling average of 24.20.
In that tournament, Mustafizur managed to claim two five-wicket hauls in the League Stages, 5/59 against India (at Birmingham 2nd July 2019) and 5/75 against Pakistan (at Lord’s on 5th July 2019).
