New Zealand right-arm fast bowler Lockie Ferguson impressed everyone with his consistent bowling performances in the entire 2019 ODI World Cup. He bagged 21 wickets in that tournament, second-most wicket-taker of that tournament, including five times three-wicket hauls.

Ferguson’s overall bowling figures in that tournament were 83.4-3-409-21 (economy rate 4.88) with the bowling average of 19.47. It was the second-best bowling performance by a New Zealand bowler in a CWC edition.

In that tournament, Ferguson had the best bowling figures of 9.1-3-37-4 against Afghanistan at Taunton on 8th June 2019 (in the League Stage of that tournament). His bowling played a crucial role for New Zealand in that tournament, who just missed out that trophy and finished as the runners-up in that tournament.
