Akshar Patel: ‘I am in no competition with Ravindra Jadeja’
Akshar Patel has had a dream run in the past few months. A dream run in the IPL , handing him an India cap. Though, he did not impress much in his debut series but he has come in with flying flying colours after that. Be it the CLT20 or the following International series, he has impressed one and all.
The biggest problem Akshar Patel has caused the team management is over the selection issues. With Jadeja and Patel similar type of bowlers , Akshar performing better than Jadeja will now put pressue on the team management to drop Jadeja.
But, Akshar Patel feels that both he and Jadeja are in no sort of competition. He added that he is in good relationship with Jadeja and they both help out each other. The fact that they both are from Gujrat also helps them to understand each other better.
Akshar, apart from being good bowler is a handy batsman lower down the order and has almost made it certain in terms of making it to thw World Cup squad. The only question that remains is on whether he will make it to the playing 11 or not.
Earlier in the year, Akshar Patel made his debut for Kings X11 Punjab and turned out to be the ‘ Emerging Player of the Season’ and his career took a turn from there on.
