India captain Virat Kohli is one of the most animated personalities on the field and doesn’t shy away from coming up with an angry celebration. Same was the case during the second T20I of the series against New Zealand as he came up with an angry celebration after taking a catch of New Zealand opener Martin Guptill.

New Zealand were off to a brisk start and didn’t lose a wicket in the first five overs. Shardul Thakur got the big wicket of Guptill on the final delivery of the powerplay. The right-handed batsman played a big shot but couldn’t cover the distance.
The ball went up high in the air and Kohli had a tough task to pouch the ball safely. The Indian captain did not make any mistake and safely caught the ball to provide a big breakthrough to India. New Zealand lost their first wicket for 48.

The visiting bowlers, unlike the first T20I, have had a good run so far. They have bowled exceptionally well and New Zealand are yet to touch the 100 run-mark even after 15 overs.
Colin Munro, Guptill’s opening partner, also struggled for runs and was dismissed on 26 off 25 by Shivam Dube. Here again, it was Kohli who pouched the catch – this time he had to dive in front. His acrobatic fielding effort saw both the opening batsmen walk back.

Ravindra Jadeja followed up with a soft dismissal of Colin de Grandhomme, who managed three off five deliveries.
As Kane Williamson mentioned, the pitch might slow down more in the second innings and Indian batsmen will also face an uphill task while chasing the target. The home team has two spinners and Indian batsmen will surely face difficulty while scoring against them.
At the current rate, New Zealand aren’t expected to touch the 180-run mark.
