Former West Indies captain Chris Gayle handled the leadership role of his national team when the Caribbean just started to face the transition period back in 2007. The left-handed opening batsman is an incredible power hitter, and if he plays the big knocks, it definitely destroys the oppositions. As he hasn’t announced his international retirement yet, he is still in this list.

Gayle led the West Indies team in 90 international games where he won the Man of the Match awards in 10 times.
