The cricket fraternity has witnessed ample cricketers coming through the ranks, to shine at the highest level. Although there are plenty of talented players, not many get the opportunity to represent the national cricket team due to healthy competition. The players who showcased incredible consistency have always been on the right track.

Indian captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Babar Azam have always dominated the game thoroughly. The bowlers have always felt hard to keep them in check and have often come up with tactical plans to dismiss them in recent years.

Meanwhile, cricketer-turned-commentator Ramiz Raja disclosed that there is one such talented player in Pakistan who has got all the tools and ingredients to become the next Babar Azam or even Virat Kohli in cricket.

“Haider needs to follow the approach of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. These two doesn’t improvise much as they have so much talent and rely mainly on conventional shots. Haider has similar talent as Babar and Kohli, but just needs to work on his game awareness and play longer innings,” he added.

Haider Ali needs to bring consistency in his performance: Ramiz Raja

Ramiz Raja said that Haider Ali has immense talent and has carved out a reputation for himself as a successful batsman in his first season of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The former cricketer Raja said that Haider needs to add consistency formula in his performance so much so that he can go on to become a well-established batsman at number three for Pakistan.

“Haider has immense talent and has made a name for himself in his first season of PSL. However, he needs to bring consistency in his performance and his ideal position is number three in the batting order. He has big quality shots in his armour and doesn’t need to improvise much as his power-hitting base is quite strong,” Raja said in a Youtube video.
