ICC World Cup 2019: Injury Updates Of All The Teams So Far; Injuries are a part and parcel of the game but the impact and the timing of the injury is something, which is tough for the players to receive. Ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019, there are quite a few players, who ruled out of the tournament owing to injuries while few players are breaking a sweat to recover from the injuries.
Here are they:
India:
The Indian National Cricket Team is worried about the fitness of Kedar Jadhav. Ahead of the World Cup, he suffered a shoulder injury during the IPL game against Kings XI Punjab. He was immediately rushed to the hospital to have a scan on his shoulders.
Thankfully, he hasn’t suffered any fracture and most probably, he would try to be available for the team. As far as the replacements are concerned, Axar Patel is on the radar while Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu also hoping for the call-up.
”Luckily in Kedar’s case, there is no fracture so we will wait and watch. There is still time so it should be ok,” Shastri said to CricketNext.
England:
Ahead of the season, they have got quite a few headaches with Joe Denly, Jason Roy struggling to find their fitness. However, all of them are back in the track and already knocking it for the team.
South Africa:
They are facing issues with their bowling section. The flamboyant cricketers Kagiso Rabada and Dale Steyn suffered injuries while Anrich Nortje ruled out of the tournament. However, in the recent reports, it is learnt that Steyn and Rabada would be fine until the world cup gets underway.
“There was an issue with KG [Rabada] and there was an issue with Dale, but we feel that those guys are on track. There’s nothing that people should be alarmed about. They’re going to both make full recoveries and be able to take their place at the World Cup,” he said.
Well, it would be interesting to see whether the cricketers would be fine for the tournament or not. However, the board is smart enough to prepare backups for the respective players.
