It has been pretty hot and humid, pretty much like Durban – Rassie van der Dussen about Dharamshala

One-week before the opening T20I of this series, South African team has landed in Dharamshala. Rassie van der Dussen feels that this strategy can help them to make a good start on this tour.

He added, “We have had two tough training sessions since we have been here and two more are coming up. It has been pretty hot and humid, pretty much like Durban. It is definitely an advantage that we came here a week before the first game.”

Around four years ago, South Africa played a T20I match against India Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (Dharamsala). In that game, South Africa beat India by seven wickets with two balls remaining.

India-South Africa will play the second and third T20Is of this series at Mohali (18th September) and Bengaluru (22nd September) respectively.

After this T20I series, South Africa will play the three-match Test series against India in this tour in October.
