In that final, the left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra had the bowling figures of 10-0-57-0. Also, at the end of that innings, Nehra scored eight not out (4 balls) with two boundaries. He picked up 15 wickets in that tournament.

In his entire cricket career, Nehra faced many injuries which always restricted his career. However, he never gave up and returned to the game after recovering from several injuries and surgeries.

Though he played only three matches in the ICC Cricket World cup 2011, his bowling played a crucial role to win against Pakistan in the semi-final of that tournament. It was also his last ODI while his last Test was long back in 2004.

However, injury-prone Nehra still played the T20I cricket till November 2017 which was also his last cricket match. Since then, he has taken the bowling coach role.
