Virender Sehwag

Only the opener Virender Sehwag performed strongly among the Indian batsmen in that final. Sehwag scored 82 runs off 81 balls (10 fours and 3 sixes) before losing his wicket in the 24th which almost finished their hope to win that trophy. It was just the early chapter for Sehwag.
With his aggressive batting style, Sehwag became one of the most dangerous batsmen in world cricket. Though he faced some ups and downs in the international career, Sehwag mostly enjoyed his career. He became the first Indian batsman to hit triple-century in Test cricket, in fact, he hit it for twice. For around three years, he also held the record of the highest individual score in ODI history after becoming the second batsman to hit an ODI double-century. Sehwag played the crucial roles for India to win the ICC World T20 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
Sehwag last played for India in 2013 while he retired from cricket in October 2015. However, Sehwag has also featured in some non-recognised cricket tournaments after his retirement. Like Tendulkar, he also played in the recent Road Safety World Series 2020. Sehwag also plays an expert role in present time.
