Madhav Mantri was an Indian wicket-keeper who had played 4 Tests from 1951 to 1955. He had 9 dismissals (8 catches and 1 stump) along with 67 runs in his international career.

India’s legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar is the nephew of Madhav Mantri. Sunil Gavaskar played 125 Tests and 108 ODIs between 1971 and 1987 as an opening batsman. He scored 10,122 runs in Tests and 3,092 runs in ODIs. He is one of the greatest Indian cricketers of all time.

Rohan Gavaskar was son of Sunil Gavaskar and great-nephew of Madhav Mantri. Rohan was an Indian batsman who played 11 ODIs in 2004, where he scored 151 runs.
Apart from these, Gundappa Viswanath is brother-in-law of Sunil Gavaskar, who had also played for India during 1969 to 1983 (91 Tests and 25 ODIs).
