IPL 2019: Jasprit Bumrah is the Best Bowler in the World But His Best is Yet to Come Feels Sachin Tendulkar

It was a sensational bowling performance from Jasprit Bumrah who ensured Mumbai Indians lifted their 4th IPL title after they defeated Chennai Super Kings by a solitary run in the final of the tournament. After his exploits in the just-concluded season of the IPL, Sachin Tendulkar who is part of the Mumbai Indians set up was convinced that Bumrah is already the best bowler in world cricket currently.

Mentor of the Mumbai Indians, Sachin Tendulkar was overjoyed with Bumrah’s bowling from the sidelines. He bagged two good wickets and bowled immaculately and set the team up for a thrilling victory. He conceded 14 runs in his 4 overs spell and bagged the wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo.

“Let me go on record and say he is the best bowler in the world at this stage and his best is yet to come hopefully,” Sachin Tendulkar said of the Jasprit Bumrah. He will definitely be the bowler to watch out for India in the upcoming World Cup and could well be the X factor for the Men in Blue.

Lasith Malinga conceded 20 runs in the 16th over which turned the scales totally in favour of Chennai Super Kings. However, it was Jasprit Bumrah who returned for his two overs and bagged two crucial wickets and hardly conceded runs. The fast bowler denied both Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo of scoring boundaries which resulted in pressure climbing for CSK.

They needed 42 of the final four with the 17th over yielding only 4 runs. He again bowled a brilliant penultimate over which allowed MI to take the game till the final over. Eventually, Rohit Sharma showed faith in Malinga and handed him the ball with 9 required off the final over. He changed his plans and came from around the wicket which worked to his advantage. Malinga eventually managed to defend 9 runs and gave MI a solitary run victory.

“I think his action is a bit awkward and it’s tough to understand what pace is coming,” his Mumbai team-mate Yuvraj Singh said during a chat with Sachin Tendulkar. I think he’s bowling the best I’ve seen in his career.”
