IPL 2019: Kolkata Knight Riders’ Star Sunil Narine Ready to Dictate Terms

With eight teams battling in the training camps to gear up for the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Windies recruit Sunil Narine is equally up to the task to take some rust off after recovering from the sore finger. As the IPL 2018 will commence from March 23 in Chennai, Narine is reinvigorated to make most of the opportunities while relying on his bagful of tricks.
The 30-year-old premium off-spinner Narine has recently missed the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) while suffering bruises on his finger.
Knight Riders which has finished third on the list in IPL 2018, is timely boosted by the inclusion of Carlos Brathwaite, too. Meanwhile, recharged Narine is keen to make a spirited comeback in the domestic professional league.
However, the major contributor for Dinesh Karthik-led side Knight Riders (KKR), Narine is happy on rejoining his IPL team.

Moreover, Narine sees Kolkata as a second home. He is hopeful to deliver things on the expected lines for the Knight Riders.
“It’s good to be back. This is my second home and hopefully, good things lie ahead and a bright IPL season too,” KKR’s Twitter handle quoted Narine as saying.
Over the years, Narine has served as a backbone for Knight Riders. Also, he has opened the innings for his side to provide early impetus to his side.
On the other side, Carl Crowe, who’s the spin-bowling coach for the Knight Riders believes Narine is in good stead and is keen to take the field in the impending edition of the IPL.

Crowe reiterated Narine has made up his mind while recovering in time. He added Narine could’ve rushed in to feature in the PSL which would not have been a well-thought-out plan.
“He (Narine) is in good shape. His performance has always been of high quality. Batting is now part of his game as well. He could have rushed back but that’s never a good idea,” Crowe maintained.
Concurrently, Narine is partaking in the practice camp before delivering goods in the much-awaited competition.
Pertinently, Crowe who has from England has helped Narine to remodel his action after the Windies star was banned for an illegal action.
Crowe stated Narine has been professional in approach to get himself cleared from the world cricket body ICC.
“Credit should go to him for being able to maintain a high standard after modifying his action,” Crowe said.
Known for his mystery constituent, Narine has understood his game well. This time, Narine has his subtle variations to deceive the batsmen.
Knight Riders will play their first game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on March 27 at Eden Gardens in Kolkatta.
