IPL 2019, Match 43: KKR vs RR - Kolkata Knight Riders' Predicted Playing XI 1

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is currently struggling in the ongoing IPL 2019. They had eventually a good start in this IPL 2019 season as they’ve won four matches out of their first five, but then they have faced five consecutive defeats. By going this, they’re under some serious pressure. On Thursday (25th April) night, KKR will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Eden Gardens (Kolkata). The opening batsman Chris Lynn has played some great innings in this IPL season. In the IPL 2019, the right-handed batsman has scored 264 runs in nine innings with an average of 29.33. He has already scored three half-centuries in the ongoing tourney.

Sunil Narine

The Caribbean cricketer Sunil Narine hasn’t performed consistently as an opening batsman but has maintained his attacking batting performances (132 runs in seven innings, strike-rate 169.23).

As an off-spinner, Narine hasn’t picked up wickets consistently but has maintained his economical bowling (six wickets in eight matches, economy rate 7.62).

In the ongoing IPL 2019, the KKR team management hasn’t utilised properly the young cricketer Shubman Gill.

The 19-year-old right-handed batsman has scored just 132 runs (nine innings) in this IPL season with an average of 22.00. As an opener, Gill scored 65 runs against Delhi Capitals (DC) at Kolkata.

Robin Uthappa

The right-handed batsman Robin Uthappa has disappointed many in the ongoing IPL season. In this tournament, he has scored 220 runs in nine matches with an average of 31.42. He has scored one fifty in this season.  

Nitish Rana

The left-handed batsman Nitish Rana is the second highest run-scorer for KKR in this IPL season. He has scored 297 runs in nine innings with an average of 37.12. He has already hit three half-centuries in the ongoing IPL edition.

In IPL 2019, the KKR captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has hugely disappointed with his on-field performances. After batting nine innings in the ongoing IPL season, Dinesh Karthik has scored just 117 runs with an average of 16.71.  

Andre Russell

The all-rounder Andre Russell is in the extraordinary form at the present moment. In the current scenario, he is the most valuable player for this side.

In this IPL season, the right-handed batsman has scored 392 runs in nine innings (average 65.33, strike-rate 217.77, three half-centuries) and also has picked up seven wickets. He is the leading run-scorer as well as the leading wicket-taker for KKR in the ongoing IPL edition.

The 21-year-old left-arm pacer Prithvi Raj made his IPL debut during KKR’s last match (against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad, Deccan on 21 April 2019). During that match, he had the bowling figures of 3-0-29-1.

Kuldeep Yadav

The left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has hugely disappointed in the ongoing IPL season. While he has played nine matches in IPL 2019, the left-arm spinner has picked up only four wickets (average 71.50 and economy rate 8.66).  

Harry Gurney

Another left-arm pacer Harry Gurney hasn’t impressed much with his bowling performances yet. While he has played five matches in this IPL season, the English pacer has taken four wickets (average 35.00).
