Once again, it is Mumbai Indians, who won the game against Chennai Super Kings at Cheppauk Stadium. The brilliant bowling effort followed by the sensible batting from Suryakumar Yadav sealed it for Mumbai Indians to head into the finals of the tournament.
Getting into the details, initially, it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won the toss, elected to bat first. However, they got one of the toughest starts in the tournament, who lost both the openers and Suresh Raina in quick succession. However, Murali Vijay settled things for CSK.
Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Chahar was brilliant:
Vijay alongside Ambati Rayudu started repairing work before Rahul Chahar dismissing Vijay. However, then came the sensible knocks from MS Dhoni and Rayudu, which saw them posting a decent tally on the board.

In reply to the chase, they were successful in sending both the Mumbai openers for a cheap score on the board. However, Suryakumar Yadav, who was dropped by Murali Vijay was going strong alongside Ishan Kishan.
Both Yadav and Kishan knocked it around for the team to make things fall in place in the chase. Just when things looked bleak for CSK, Imran Tahir sent back Kishan and Krunal Pandya in the back-to-back deliveries to change the complexion of the game.

It would have been worse for Mumbai if Watson holds on to Yadav’s catch in the slips of Ravindra Jadeja. Then it was the show from Hardik Pandya, which helped the visitors to take control of the game. All in all, it was a low-scoring thriller at Cheppauk.
Now, Mumbai Indians will travel to Hyderabad to take on the winner of the Qualifier-2 in the final of the tournament. Meanwhile,. Chennai Super Kings will play the winner of the Eliminator-1.

Suryakumar Yadav has played an excellent knock. Top drawer. Moving at 137 on a pitch where going a little over run-a-ball has been tough for everyone. ?? #MIvCSK #IPL

#CSK has followed the template of gradually building a platform for Dhoni’s arrival….while it’s worked well thus far, it might be a flawed tactic against a team with Bumrah-Malinga. #MIvCSK #IPL

Tahir was MOM for his stupendous bowling figures 4/27 against KKR @ Eden gardens and this was after no wicket in his first over. Will he repeat and save CSK from this situation. #IPL #IPL2019 #BadriBytes #MIvCSK

Dhoni's captaincy not on point today. CSK's fielding not on point today. Tahir not his usual. Have had an absolute shocker. Not to forget the decision to bat first. PLUS not picking Santner the NO.1 T20I bowler #CSKvMI
