Defending champions Chennai Super Kings are all set to play their 8th final in 10 years in Vivo IPL 12 when they lock horns against the Mumbai Indians in the final slated to be played tomorrow from 7 30 pm. CSK had an indifferent run in the last few matches of the tournament. However, they managed to beat Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2 which ensured CSK qualified for yet another final.
The matchup between CSK and DC was a battle between MS Dhoni and the potential successor of the former Indian skipper, Rishabh Pant. Despite losing the match, Delhi Capitals fought till the end. After the conclusion of the match, Rishabh Pant was seen taking some important tips from MS Dhoni.
After the conclusion of the Qualifier 2 clash between the CSK and the DC, Rishabh Pant was interacting with MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva Dhoni. In a video posted on the official Instagram handle of Ziva Dhoni, the infant can be seen teaching Rishabh Pant different Hindi vowels. Rishabh Pant also said “Thankyou madam” after the conclusion of the vowel interaction with Pant and Dhoni’s daughter.
The powerful striker of the ball, Rishabh Pant is considered one of the finest modern day cricketers but there is no doubt about the fact that the southpaw is still in the early stages of his career. Pant has always idolized MS Dhoni and further revealed that he has always learnt a lot from the former Indian skipper and the interactions with him have helped him to a large extent.
“Whenever I needed any support from Mahi bhai, I used to ask him. From my IPL contract to my wicket-keeping, he’s advised me on everything,” Rishabh Pant had said in the past.
Rishabh Pant had a good season with the bat in the IPL. There is no doubt about the fact that the southpaw could have considered for the 2019 World Cup. However after the injury sustained to Kedar Jadhav, the door might open for Pant for a wild card entry into the World Cup squad.
