IPL 2020: Players’ Auction – 332 Players Shortlisted For The Final List

While 971 players have registered their names for the forthcoming IPL auction, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has cut it down to 332 players for the final list.
Kolkata is ready to host the players’ auction for the IPL 2020 which will be held on 19th December. While all the eight teams will participate in this auction, maximum a total of 73 players can be bought from this auction. However, around 1,000 players have shown their interests for the players’ auction as 971 players have registered their names for the upcoming auction.
Out of the remaining 73 slots, only a maximum of 29 players can be foreigners. While 713 Indians have registered their names for the upcoming auction, 258 foreigners have also registered their names in this part.

Now, the IPL committee has shortlisted 332 players and sent the final list to all the franchises on last Wednesday (11th December). Among the 332 shortlisted players, 19 players are Indian capped while 24 are new entrants, according to the media reports.
Some of the hot demanding cricketers in this list are Australian stars Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins, Chris Lynn, Aaron Finch etc., South African cricketers Chris Morris, Dale Steyn etc., English cricketers Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy etc.
The 29-year-old Windies right-arm pacer Kesrick Williams has also been selected in the list of shortlisted players. Recently, Williams has impressed with his bowling skills as he has bagged 41 wickets in 24 T20Is and 108 wickets in 79 T20s.
According to the media reports, the star Bangladesh cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim has also been named in the shortlisted-players.

Meanwhile, Star Sports India has recently confirmed that the Star Sports Network will telecast the live auction on 19th December 2019 from 2:30 PM.

According to the various media reports, the capped players will begin the upcoming auction. Then, the uncapped players will go under the hammer.
