In the 44th match of the IPL 2020, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are facing MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai).

Royal Challengers Bangalore are playing their 11th match of this season. Currently, they are in the 3rd position in the IPL 2020 points table with 14 points as they have won 7 matches and lost thrice. As a part of their Go Green initiative, Royal Challengers Bangalore are wearing green jersey in this match.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are really struggling in this season as they are currently in the last or 8th position in the IPL 2020 points table after managing to earn only 6 points in their 11 matches of this season (3 wins and 8 loses). It is their 12th match in the ongoing IPL 2020.

In the meantime, it is the second meeting between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2020. They met for the first time in this season during the 25th match of the IPL 2020 (at Dubai on 10th October 2020), where RCB won by 37 runs.

Kohli said, “We will bat first. It’s pretty dry, rough. It’s interesting when the weather was hot the pitches weren’t playing well. The temperatures have dropped now but it’s slowing down. Moeen Ali replaces Isuru Udana as a spinner all-rounder, just one change. This green gesture is special for RCB, have quite a few good memories in this jersey.”

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni also revealed that they made two alterations in the playing XI as Mitchell Santner and Monu Kumar replaced Shardul Thakur and Josh Hazlewood.

Dhoni said, “We would have loved to bat first as well, same reason, it’s a used wicket. Mathematically we still have a chance, but you have to think how we have done in this season. 4-5 games prior we just took one game at a time and not worry about the points table. If we win it will take care of itself. We are looking at faces who haven’t got chances. Santner, Monu come in for Josh and Shardul.”
