While the 37-year-old Sri Lankan right-arm pacer Lasith Malinga is unavailable for the IPL 2020, the 34-year-old New Zealand left-arm pacer Mitchell McClenaghan is currently the oldest player in the present Mumbai Indians (MI) squad. He was born on 11th June 1986.

After making his IPL debut in 2015, McClenaghan has played 56 IPL matches. In the absence of Malinga, McClenaghan will get more importance in the Mumbai Indians squad, despite the presence of another New Zealand left-arm fast bowler Trent Boult.
