Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most popular league in the world as it can be seen through the growth in its brand value. This league has seen growth over the years because of the marvellous promotion. Star Sports Network purchased the cash-rich franchise league in Rs 6,138.1 crore.

In the report, it is to be seen that the viewership of IPL is increasing day by day and it was seen that last year its reach was to 18.6 million people.

In the latest report published by Duff & Phelps, it has been understood that the IPL has experienced a 7% growth in 2019, with the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) emerging as the franchises to have contributed the most.

But it is to be seen that in IPL 2018 the growth was of 18% which is more in comparison to this year IPL.

As CSK and MI have always stood as the best performer in the IPL so there has been an increase in their worth. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have gone down as they were in fifth and eighth in the table respectively. Both the team have shown deteriorating performance in IPL 2019. The MI have remained in Top for successive four seasons.

As far as the valuations of the top teams go, the Mukesh Ambani-owned Mumbai Indians have an increase of 8.5 per cent in their valuation which takes the overall figure to Rs 809 crore. The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings sit next to the list with a value of Rs 732 crore. The CSK has experienced the biggest rise (13.1 per cent) in the report.

The Delhi Capitals (DC), who were formerly known as the Delhi Daredevils, also saw an 8.9 per cent rise, taking their valuation to Rs 374 crore in 2019.

The most profitable Indian Premier League has seen always the rise in both popularity and price.
